Five Faculty Regent nominees personally presented their plans and programs at the UP Mindanao Faculty Regent Selection Forum on November 13, 2024, at the UP Mindanao Lorenzo Hall.
Nominees Ricardo Babaran, Patricia Anne Nazareno, Philip Ian Padilla, and Encarnacion Emilia Yap appeared in person, while Early Sol Gadong joined live online. The nominees are from UP Visayas and UP Cebu, in keeping with a rotation system among the UP constituent universities.
UP Vice President for Academic Affairs Leo Cubillan graced the forum with his presence as the OVPAA’s Forum Reminders were reiterated by the emcee Asst. Prof.Sherelyn Evangelio. UP Mindanao Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Annabelle Novero introduced and acknowledged the UPMin organizing committee’s contribution towards realizing the Forum. Incumbent Faculty Regent Carl Marc Ramota expressed his hopes for a “meaningful” selection process in a recorded message.
The UP Mindanao faculty members turned out in numbers led by their department chairs and college deans.
Each nominee was provided ten minutes to present their plans individually and appeared as a panel to answer questions in the subsequent open forum.
The nominees had come from the UP Visayas and UP Cebu the previous day and were scheduled to appear in UP Los Banos the following day.
