Artworks by Associate Prof. Teody Boylie “Bong” Perez (Department of Humanities) were selected for exhibit at the newly inaugurated National Museum in Davao City. The artworks “Fishermen’s Village” and “Talicud Port,” both oils on canvas, (in above photo) are currently on public display from December 2024 to November 2025.
In addition, Prof. Perez’s oil on canvas painting “Countryside,” (in above photo) created in 2024, was chosen for display at the 4th Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale in Shenzhen, China, under the theme “Green and Coexistence.” The exhibition will take place at The Dafen Art Museum in Shenzhen and will be open to the public until February 2025. “This is the fourth time my works were selected for international biennales in China,” he said.
A/Prof. Perez (right, in above photo) has been granted an appointment as UP Artist I for his artistic productivity, which included exhibits in China, Japan, and the US, and for winning awards in Colored Pencil Magazine (USA).
