Inclusive Value Chain Philippines and Agri-Aqua Value Chain Lab projects sign MOU

Two projects spearheaded by the School of Management held a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) on October 17, 2024, during the Agri-Aqua Value Chain Laboratory Stakeholder Forum.

The first project is the “Enhancing the Value Chain Project Designs for Coffee, Cacao and Cavendish Banana Towards the Development of Agri-Aqua Value Chain Laboratory in UP Mindanao”, funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD). The second project is the “Agribusiness-led inclusive value chain development for smallholder farming systems in the Philippines (IVC Philippines),” funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).

The general objective of this MOU is to forge a partnership with the IVC Philippines to be part of the Learning Alliance Network for the Agri-food Chains of the Agri-Aqua VC Lab that facilitates synergy between both projects and shared benefits from each other’s resources, expertise, and experience in agri-aqua food value chains.
